DRIVING FOR CHARITY

 

The DRIVING FOR CHARITY golf tournament is hosted by St. George Catholic Church and is open to all golfers.  The proceeds of this event will be shared with:

 

Assistance League of Southern Utah

The Assistance League of Southern Utah is a nonprofit, all volunteer organization dedicated to enriching the lives of children in our community.  Through their signature program, Operation School Bell, financially disadvantaged children receive new school clothing, shoes and hygiene kits. Literacy programs in the schools are also supported.  The needs of over 3,000 children living in homes below the poverty level in Washington County are addressed.

 

 

 

 

Founded in 1904, the Utah Food Bank’s mission is Fighting Hunger Statewide.  The Utah Food Bank strives, through its work and its resources, to reduce the toll that hunger and poverty takes on so many individuals in our communities. Last year, Utah Food Bank's Southern Distribution Center distributed more than 4.7 million pounds of food to Utah's seven southernmost counties.

Various ministries at these parishes will benefit such as the Food Pantry, CCD Education Scholarship Fund and parish grounds maintenance projects.
